SnowmanNew Zealand is such a thin country (longitudinally) and the weather patterns sweep across the land in no time at all. A great kiwi band once wrote a song called '4 seasons in one day' and i believe it was this weather that he referred to. Four days ago we had a summers morning followed by light showers, then hail with snow starting on sun down.

I like most people, have a question that nobody has been able to answer ... how did the world begin, and where did mankind come from? Dolphin Rescues humansA group of swimmers has described how a pod of dolphins protected them from a great white shark off the coast of New Zealand. The lifeguards were on a training swim when they encountered a three-metre shark before the dolphins raced in to help. The swimmers were surrounded by the dolphins for forty minutes before they were able to make it safely back to the beach.

I used to think that words were unimportant, and in a sense they are. Actions speak way louder than words and we have all met people who talk big … yet do little. A person can speak for hours, day or even years about important things, and many people may believe what they say; but all of this can be undone with a single action.

The Golden NumberThe hitchhikers guide to the galaxy tells us that the magical number, the answer to life, the universe and everyting is 42. While certainly an iconic movie, i doubt that there is any truth in this theory. More likely a number to hold magical properties is the number Phi or 1.618.It truly is amazing to see how often this number pops up in nature.

Ducks quack no echoDid you know that a ducks quack does not echo, and nobody knows why? I recently received an email with a list of little known facts among which this claim was stated. Immediately the claim seemed impossible and negated everything i had learned until now.
