godsFirstly let me explain that i am not out to ruffle the feathers of religious devotees. I like most people, have a question that nobody has been able to answer ... how did the world begin, and where did mankind come from? Many theories abound on this topic and that is the reason i believe we should seek more answers.

Only one theory can possibly be correct and this very question has started wars. At this point i want to separate spirituality from religion. I am a spiritual being that believes in a higher order, but i am not religious. To me religion is a legacy of mankind that asks devotees to believe outright and blindly in the doctrines that it puts forth without question.

jesus1Until today i had remained neutral on the subject of religion. I am an inquisitive mind that finds it difficult to believe in an ideal blindly without personal research and verification. I choose not to take as truth that which is taught to me; rather i see it as a version of an ideal. I think this way for good reason. Time and time again histories facts are rewritten and new discoveries are made which forces us to alter our paradigms. At one time the world was flat, the four minute mile was imperceivable, only birds could fly, Pluto was a planet, asbestos was safe, the combustion engine was the most economical form of transport and Bill Clinton did not have sexual relations with that woman.

The thing that first repelled me from religion was the existence of many different religions with different god/s, all claiming vehemently that there god/s are the true creators of all things. Most religions even waging violence against non believers of there system. My culture is dominated by Christianity and in my mind Christianity has alot to answer for. Should you cross the god of Christians you would be banished to a hellish pit of fire and screaming demons and live out the rest of eternity in soul wrenching anguish and pain ..... but he loves you ..... and he needs your money! In the countries i have lived in, the religious sectors of the country hold massive amounts of wealth and the same can be said for countries i have not lived in. Money means power and power corrupts. Absolute power corrupts absolutely.

What you have so far read is nothing more than my opinion, picked up during my experience, dusted off, painted pretty colours and flogged off to you the reader. Never blindly take such things as truth, only a version thereof. What follows are examples of why i believe that Jesus did not exist as a man; and gods as such do not exist at all.

At some point in time there must have been a single original religion (that men corrupted) from which all religions spawned.
The first time and space to look for this would be the first civilization known to man. That would be the ancient Sumerian culture which existed even before 6000BC in the area now known as Iraq. That means the Sumerians predated the Mesopotamians, the Babylonians, the Incas and the Mayans. This civilization possessed technology and knowledge thousands of years ahead of their time; some of which we are unable to reproduce today. Their alphabet contained 400 characters as well as a separate form of recording with symbols to tell stories. Stories were scribed into stone, clay and other earthly substances and remain transcribable today. Their mathematics existed on a base of 60 and 10 with a 60 second minute and a 60 minute hour and they held interesting knowledge about the solar system surrounding earth. Quite an incredible feat when you consider telescopes were only invented some 5000 years later.
