Cheese Power

cheeseThis is an example of a battery with a difference. I wouldn't exactly call it cheap power, in fact you could probably run a jet engine for less with the price of cheese around here being so high ... and i live right in the middle of farming country!

Anyway i just wanted to demonstrate how introducing cheese to a voltaic pile or salt water battery can increase the amps and the volts.

This is a precursor to my project for creating light from organic material. I will probably go with a simple earth battery and look for the solution to act as an electrolyte. I think the cheese simply allows for a greater flow of electrons which could also be gained by the addition of a stronger electrolyte solution. By using earth i simply reduce the amount of time for the solution to wear out. I think the best battery could be made in an aluminum tin with copper and bleach. After speaking with an older man that lived through times of hardship and soaring energy prices told me he used to make his own lamp fuel and batteries for his radio in this way. Lesson learned? Talk to old people ... they know stuff.
